Web application: first draft code review
Goals
- look at what some classmates are doing and learn from it
- offer your experience to your classmates so they can learn from you
Rubric
5 - notes sent to the other team
5 - attendance and participation in class on June 2
Your tasks
- Read the info from Jeff on Slack in #announcements about which project you should take a look at. You should get this information by the end of the day Tuesday, May 27.
Review your assigned project.
- Try out the project by adapting the testing instructions from the first-draft assignment for your setup on stearns (or on your own computer if you have postgres installed).
- Take notes about what you think is good, what you think could be improved, etc.
- Write down the 1-2 most important good things and the 1-2 most important needs-work things in a form that you can share with the authors of the project.
- Show up to class on Monday, June 2 to participate in the code review session.
- After class but before the end of the day on June 2, send your notes via Slack DM to the authors of the project and to Jeff. You and your teammate may send notes individually or together.
- Spend no more than 60 minutes preparing for this session. This is intended to be a light-weight exercise to get everybody a little feedback from other programmers.
