Note that part 2 of the interpreter project (talloc) has a deadline of Saturday night during midterm break. If you'd rather get this done before break, that's completely reasonable! Make arrangements with your team to do so. Part 2 is not long; you can plan to finish Part 1 for Tuesday night, and Part 2 for Thursday night.
